Frontier Windpower Project

Operational in late December 2016, the Frontier Windpower Project is under a 22-year agreement with City Utilities of Springfield, Missouri. The 200-megawatt Frontier Wind produces enough emissions-free electricity to power about 60,000 average homes. It is comprised of 3.3-megawatt turbines and the largest Vestas blades in the U.S. Amshore US Wind provided development support for the project, and Wanzek Construction was the contractor.
